Temperature override
Set Hold, then return to your schedule
- Use the temperature arrows. For a time-based schedule, Hold Until shows when the temporary change ends.
- To change that time, touch it, wait for it to blink, adjust it and confirm with Hold Until.
- For an ongoing override, touch Hold Until, then Permanent Hold.
- To resume programming, touch the active Hold label, then Run Schedule.
The manual limits temporary Hold to 12 hours. Location-based control follows different events, so confirm the active scheduling mode before expecting that timer.

Edit the schedule on the thermostat
- Touch Menu, use the navigation arrows to find SCHEDULE, then touch Select.
- Select the day group and period to edit. Adjust the time, then confirm with Select.
- Set the heating and cooling temperatures, confirming each. Continue through periods, then choose DONE and Select to save.
Changing between everyday, weekday/weekend and individual-day schedule types requires the Resideo app. The touchscreen edits the currently chosen arrangement.
To control the temperature manually, the Schedule menu has Sched. On/Off. This differs from resetting a saved program.

Connect with the app for your account
- Connect your phone to the 2.4 GHz home network.
- For an existing Resideo setup, choose Add Device in that app and follow the prompts. For a new account or migration, use the current T6 app-support instructions linked below.
The manual names Resideo. Current manufacturer support also covers First Alert migration: existing Resideo users can keep using their current app until migrated, while new accounts use the current setup guidance. Total Connect Comfort is a different platform.
Loss of Wi-Fi does not prevent a manual temperature change at the thermostat. App-dependent features, including geofencing, need connectivity.

Choose geofencing in the app
The Resideo app manages location-based control and smart scheduling. In its Schedule options, the manual describes Switch to geofencing and Use Geofencing. Follow the current app’s permission and household setup instructions.
If you prefer a predictable clock-based program, use the app’s time-schedule option instead. Confirm the active schedule on the thermostat after changing it.

Check WF in the complete model number
For TH6210U2001, TH6220U2000 or TH6320U2008, use our non-Wi-Fi T6 Pro guide. Do not apply its battery or button instructions to a WF model.
Use the official troubleshooting and reset sections for a persistent fault. Choose a reset only after checking what it erases; cancelling Hold does not require resetting network credentials.
