Daikin serial number age lookup

Find the manufacture month from a YYMM serial prefix. Covers the listed North American Daikin unitary models.

Check the date prefix

Enter YYMM from the serial, not the model. This check covers modern 2000-onward dates only.

Match the model before interpreting the prefix

YYMM example: prefix 2410 splits into year 2024 and month October
Illustrative prefix 2410: October 2024. This is not a complete serial or a manufacturer record.

The date rule comes from Daikin’s own warranty certificates, not an assumption that every Daikin product shares a Goodman format.

  • DX3SQ, DX4SQ, DZ4SQ: certificate PWDOTAHTYURC ↗, dated November 2025, gives 2511 as November 2025.
  • Single-phase DX13SA, DZ13SA, DX14SA, DZ14SA, DX16SA and DZ16SA: certificate PWDACHPHSACE ↗, dated October 2024, gives 2410 as October 2024. Read the full model applicability on its first page.

Both explain YYMM on page 2. The tool supports modern 2000-onward dates, rejects months outside 01–12 and does not return a future manufacture month. These are date-prefix checks, not manufacturer-record searches.

Manufacture date and installation date are different

Equipment can be stored before installation. Its age from the manufacture month is not necessarily its time in service. Warranty terms may use installation records and other conditions; the calculated age does not decide coverage.

The examples 2410 and 2511 come from the certificates. They are date prefixes, not complete real equipment serial numbers.

If the model or format is outside this coverage

  1. Photograph the accessible equipment nameplate and record the full model and serial. Do not remove an electrical cover to find them.
  2. Look for a printed manufacture date. Keep the outdoor and indoor unit labels separate; a matched system can contain units made at different times.
  3. Use the product line’s official support route or ask the installer to verify the record. Do not change a letter-based serial into YYMM or use a different brand’s decoder.

Ductless splits, VRV, Applied/commercial equipment and other-market models are not covered by the listed certificates in this tool.
